In December 2020, I challenged myself to complete as many squats as possible. I completed 1018 squats in total and averaged 32 squats per day. The maximum number of squats in one day was 155. Aside from days when I completed 0 squats, the minimum was 8.

I started off strong completing 155 squats on the fifth day of the challenge. My whole body hurt that night. Coming down from the maximum squats I maintained an average of 52 squats per day for the next week. From there, holiday mode kicked in. Over the last two weeks of the month, I gave in to that sad, lazy, don’t-feel-like-doing-squats feeling. So shameful.
Overall, this challenge showed me that motivation ran out after two weeks. This was not a good reason to give up but, alas, that is what I did.
