FreeHand was a wearable replacement for traditional Microsoft PowerPoint presentation pointers. The presenter could use hand gestures to change slides and toggle the slideshow.
My partner for this project at Fanshawe College was Gurpreet Singh. We took apart an off-the-shelf presentation pointer and repurposed it to work with an MBED prototype board and transistor switches. Using three flexible resistors taped onto a glove we activated each “button” on the pointer board according to the appropriate hand gesture.
