Last month I committed to working out at least 30 minutes per day every day. Each workout could not include walking, running, or cycling but anything else was fair game. I’m happy to write that I succeeded. I took no days off and the total workout time was 15 hours, 43 minutes, and 59 seconds.

Each workout varied day to day. On most days I completed at least squats and lunges. Some other exercises included push-ups, planks, and kettle bell work. The kettle bell I used was 10 lbs. A lot of shoulder work like presses and tricep extensions.
Many times my workouts would be at night between 10pm to 12am. I remember one night around 11:20pm I almost didn’t workout. I’m so glad I just did something that night. Although I was in no mood to work out I did it anyway. It’s good practice to build in necessary daily tasks to develop discipline. This challenge did just that. Even into March I have continued the daily 30 minute workout.
Overall, I’m glad I got through the challenge. The varied exercises kept things interesting and allowed my creativity to get to work. The necessary time limit of 30 minutes enforced discipline. Most important of all, I feel good about it now that it’s over.
